The Baltimore Sun (Reg. Req.) quotes an Orioles executive as saying that the team would only be interested in acquiring Sammy Sosa if the Cubs paid 80 percent of his salary....The papers in Boston are saying that Matt Clement is now the Red Sox's main target for a new starting pitcher, but the ex-Cub free agent has just visited the Dodgers and Angels and will make a decision on where to sign today or tomorrow....Meanwhile, the Reds are still interested in Kent Mercker, but have not made an offer yet.
